Share of each group of investors in WSE trading in the first half of 2008

On a press conference held on 7 August 2008, the WSE presented the results of a cyclical study concerning the share of each group of investors in WSE trading in the first half of 2008. The participation of Polish institutional investors in equity trading amounted to 41 percent which was the highest level in the history of the study (i.e. since 1997). In H1 2008, foreign investors accounted for 41 percent of equity trading as well. The share of individual investors fell to 18 percent. This group of investors remained dominant on the derivatives market, however.
