BARLINEK, Export Leader to the East

On 22nd January this year, during BUDMA Fair in Poznan, the leaders of dynamic export growth to the East were awarded by the Polish Construction Industry Chamber of Commerce. BARLINEK was among the prize-winning companies.

The “2008 Export Leader to the East” award was granted to the Company in recognition of its significant achievements within the field of export growth to Russia and CIS. Flooring from Barlinek has had very good reputation among its users, either in Poland and abroad, and its exports are systematically increasing. The cooperation of Barlinek Company with the Eastern Europe countries was initiated in a particularly intensive way a few years ago. That was when the Board of the Company decided to build one of the most high-tech wood processing plants in Winnica, Ukraine. Since then, Barlinek has been intensively increasing sales of its products, particularly of the popular Barlinek wooden floorboard in Russia and on the CIS markets. What is important is that the increase in 2008 sales, measured in sq m, reached double-digit increase, and in some countries nearly 100%.

Last year, Barlinek was awarded a title of “Investor of Year 2007” by the Ukrainian Ambassador, Olexander Motsyk.
